More than 12 hours of carnage kicking off from 12 noon.... This years ‘Day of the Undead' is going to be even bigger, better and bloodier than last years, with a celebration of Zombie Films, Book and Games from around the World. But now here are a list fo the films to expect on the day...

Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue Dir: Jorge Grau

Spain 1974, 1hr 33mins, 18. 12 noon

Considered by many to be the classic Euro Zombie Film, the Spanish director makes this UK filmed movie truly terrifying… Cops chase a pair of hippies suspected of a series of Manson family-like murders, unknown to him, the real culprits are the living dead, brought to life with a thirst for human flesh by meddling scientists and the local farmers. ‘One of the Best Zombie Films EVER made' DVD Drive-In

UK Zombie Shorts followed by Zomblies. 2.15pm

Some British Zombie short films will lead the way to only the 2nd screening of Zomblies. These shorts include ‘E'Gad Zombies' a beautiful 20 minute undead period piece featuring the talents of Sir Ian McKellan.

Reel Zombies Dir: Mike Masters and David J. Francis

The Zombie Film makers behind the unsuccessful movies Zombie Night 1 and 2, set about to complete their trilogy, using the real zombies that have taken over much of the world. With a documentary film maker following them all the way, they embark on the production of their masterpiece only to discover, shooting in a post-apocalyptic world offers many new and, of course, deadly challenges. Dellamorte Dellamore Dir: Michel Soavi.

Italy 1996, 1hr 39mins, subtitled, 18. 9.15pm

In Italian "dellamore" means "of love" and "dellamorte" means "of death and this truly breath-taking film starring Rupert Everett takes this to another level… His duties looking after a cemetery means he must kill the dead a 2 nd time to prevent them rising again but this being intertwined with his constantly re-incarnated lover simply adds to his mounting problems…

Zombies of Mass Destruction Dir: Kevin Hemdani

USA 2009, 1hr 27mins, 18. 11.30pm

Facing the living dead are a small American town, consisting of homophobes, xenophobes and plenty more ‘phobes' besides and trying to save the town are of course what you would expect… The closeted small town man and his pushy boyfriend, the Muslim family, the environmentalist, so they must band together, fight through the gore and then face bigotry and the living dead in order to survive…
