It was 1977 in the tranquil vale of St Willard, a traditional village fete was being run by the local order of nuns. There was jam tasting, baked goods, games of luck and skill, the Womens Institute was busy signing up new members, at such a civilised gathering, anything going wrong was the furthest from peoples minds. Clergy from all over the United Kingdom had also turned up to lend their support to the festivities to come....
Everything was peaceful, what could go wrong... The Surgeon General had sponsored the whole event and the vale was filled with the polite giggling of the assembled guests, not even the old burial site, the minefields and quarantine zones would stop people enjoying themselves...
The Guests had come from far and wide to enjoy the hospitality of the Fete, some simply enjoyed the fete, some ended up threatening monks with guns and some ended up handcuffed to sinks by the local constabulary, all of this before anything bad happened.
Everything was at peace... That is until the national anthem was played, the helicopter started circling and some of the nice Surgeon Generals people started running around with bombs and missile launchers. It must have been a coincidence that the helicopter was carrying that sample of the Ex-Mortis virus that broke showering the nuns at the Holy site... The bomb destroying the bridge... was probably just some bits of the helicopter... and doesn't every evil genius need a secret lab facility? Who would have thought the pilot would have been spread over such a wide area?
