This style of event covers 1930s Gothic Horror, 1970s Detective, Haunted Locations, mysteries to be solved, restless spirits to be laid to rest, and a gradual, inexorable build up of fear. These events may be populated by, or based around, ghosts, romantic/horrific encounters with vampires, discovering who the werewolf is, where the mystery being solved is at the forefront of peoples minds. The chances of dying are greatly reduced, the chances of failure and its associated consequences great. These events are themed and generally involve a more in depth immersion into a time, place or setting. Scenarios we have run for this style of event include an authentic 1930s Christmas celebration, interrupted only by the restless soul of a betrayed and murdered monk and an event based around a World War 1 public house, where the residents and the characters were doomed to spend an eternity of barbaric suffering, unless they worked together to solve their dilemma.

Recommended Equipment for MYSTERIOUS events: Thinking cap, costume to match the setting and clean change of underwear.

'Christmas with the Middletons:' Here are some photographs from one of our events, a Traditional 1930s Christmas, it was a supernatural based murder mystery held in Somerset, the hunt turning up outside the site and the train were added bonuses to the atmosphere of the weekend.

'The Mourning Mother of Battle:' The next series of photographs is from an event we ran, revolving around a 1935 plane crashing and the survivors finding themselves outside a Tavern called the Mourning Mother of Battle. Things turned from bad to worse, the characters solved various problems, but an insane German was trying to find the way out the 'Time Bubble' too...
